WALTER HOLLIEN
PRESERVATION ARCHITECT

Walter Hollien is a preservation architect who has a special interest in historic mills as well as other aspects of industrial archaeology. He is active in a number of organizations that focus on researching such topics as millstones and windmills. Mr. Hollien works as both a historic structures consultant and a restoration contractor, so is able to take a project from its initial stages through the actual conservation work. He is currently working on a number of projects in the northeastern U.S. ranging from the Pan Am Building/Grand Central Station Renovation in New York City to the Commandant's House in West Point, New York.
