An Adventures in Preservation volunteer vacation can be the adventure of a lifetime. Do you have a family member or friend who would like to attend, but may be having a little trouble saving enough to cover the expenses? Or know someone who would be amazed to receive a gift covering their trip fees?
As the sponsor of an Adventures in Preservation volunteer, you are contributing toward a specific volunteer’s program fee and supporting our mission. Your contributions, sent directly to AiP, are 100% tax-deductible for U.S. residents and also non-refundable. You can sponsor an AiP volunteer in two different ways — online and through the mail.

It's fast and easy to sponsor a volunteer online. You will need the volunteer’s name, address, email address, and ideally, the name and date of the workshop he or she would like to attend. Then complete the online form and submit payment.
You can also sponsor a volunteer through the mail. Simply complete this form and send it along with your contribution (in the form of a personal check from a U.S. bank, certified check, cashier check, or money order in US dollars made payable to Adventures in Preservation) to the following address:
Adventures in Preservation
1557 North Street
Boulder, CO 80304 USA
Adventures in Preservation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in the U.S. For U.S. citizens, in general, 100% of the payments towards the AiP program fee are deductible for federal income tax purposes. Charitable donations can reduce the taxable income and lower the tax bill of the person who has made the donation—including sponsors if a volunteer is fundraising. Not everyone will be able to deduct their charitable contributions, however. You will need to itemize your tax deductions in order to claim any charitable donation.
Each country has different tax rules and regulations. AiP recommends consulting a personal tax advisor on all issues concerning tax deductibility, including determining if and how airfare may be tax-deductible.
Volunteers and sponsors submitting payments online toward a program fee will receive a receipt via email that itemizes fee and payments. Volunteers and sponsors sending payments by check or money order will receive a receipt via email or mail that itemizes fee and payments.
